KNITTING
2024
Inspired by traditional charted designs, I wanted to bring a contemporary twist to the ancient craft.
I want to acknowledge the beauty of knitting, a labour of love, by slowing down, reconnecting, and paying homage to the aesthetics of ancient Ireland.
I want to combine my knitted tapestries with the form of pottery. I am working on designing a way to encase my ceramic pots with my knitted tapestries.
I am currently processing raw sheep wool to use in my felting and knitting designs. This will allow me to reconnect with the craft more.
All pieces are hand-knit.
