These paintings reflect the luxury of excess time spent in my studio during the Covid lockdowns, free from distractions, I was able to allow my mind to create new realities and be absorbed within the creative process. Often, I would start with a smear on the page and react to each mark, allowing the image in the painting to bring itself to life.
A combination of acrylic, markers and oil pastels.
Influenced by David Shillinglaw, Grayson Perry, Keith Haring, and Basquiat.
