An ode to the glorious Sagrada Familia.
When I first moved to Barcelona, I was fortunate enough to live in the presence of Sagrada Familia. I observed her every day from my balcony, eating my breakfast with her towering over me. Every time I noticed a new finite detail hidden amongst the surface. The obsession grew. When I unfortunately had to move apartments, Sagrada Familia no longer greeted me every morning; instead, a faceless grey hotel. I missed her presence and therefore worked alongside Stuart Medcalf, creating this multimedia sculptural ode to Sagrada Familia.
It started with a street find, a bit of thrown-away furniture that had the silhouette of one of the towers. From there, we worked in layers. Trial and error, intuitively, sharing ideas and problems.
